DWC Thermal Analyser
Software
DWC Thermal Analyser is a comprehensive software solution developed by DWC FoodTech Pty Ltd for the thermal processing sector, with a particular emphasis on retorting.
Designed for application across a wide range of heat-processed packaged foods and beverages, the software simplifies complex thermal data analysis by transforming it into clear, interpretable tables and graphical outputs suitable for reporting and process filing.

The latest release builds upon the legacy version, enhancing the software’s capabilities to support comprehensive evaluation and validation of thermal process adequacy for shelf-stable, refrigerator-stable, and pasteurised low-acid, acid and acidified foods.
With advanced predictive functionality, users can optimise heating parameters tailored to the specific retort system, product thermal characteristics, and operational mode. This enables precise determination of process adequacy across scheduled, alternate scheduled, and non-scheduled thermal processes.
Demonstrations, Licensing, and Purchasing Options:
- Annual Licensing: Yearly licensing at $450 (+GST if applicable).
- Volume Discounts: Contact us for discounts for multiple licenses or installations across multiple machines.
- Complimentary Updates: All licenses include free access to the latest software updates and enhancements.
- Live Demonstrations: Product demonstrations are available upon request to showcase features and answer technical questions

Key Features:
- Multi-channel data analysis: Simultaneous processing of data for up to 200 channels (data sets) import from Excel or csv files.
- Offline functionality: The software operates fully offline, allowing users to analyse data without requiring an internet connection.
- Local data storage: All data is processed and stored locally. No information is transmitted to or stored in the cloud, ensuring complete control over data security and confidentiality.
- Various form of data analysis: Defined sections for temperature distribution, heat penetration and heat transfer distribution data analysis.
- Summary of data: Data analysis turns bulky time/temperature data sets into easily assessable information.
- F value calculations: Compute F values using the General (Reference) Method at key process stages—end of come-up, heating, and cooling.
- Retort temperature distribution analysis: Generate summary tables of derived characteristics such as F values, lag time, compliance coefficient, minimum/maximum temperature and temperature range across all thermocouples.
- Heat penetration trial analysis: Generate summary tables of F values, graphs and fh and j values.
- Heat transfer distribution analysis: Generate summary tables to compare heat transfer distribution F values, fh values and coefficients of variance.
- Graphical visualization: Display time/temperature graphs, minimum/maximum temperature graphs, summery tables, semi-log plots of temperature versus elapsed time for all or selected channels.
- Mathematics of heat transfer: Quickly calculate fh and j values, whether it be for process filing or process modelling.
- Advanced process modelling: Mathematically modelling of F values and process times using DWC’s mathematical modelling method (modified Gillespy Method) for alternative processes and non-scheduled processes.
Global Adoption and Applications:
DWC Thermal Analyser has been adopted by food manufacturers and research institutions across Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia, and has been used in temperature distribution, heat penetration and heat transfer distribution analysis and process filing applications globally.
User Support:
The software is accompanied by direct support by DWC FoodTech to provide guidance for users; from initial setup and data import to final analysis.
